DESCRIPTION:Help Shape the Future of the Middle Peninsula \nThe draft Middle Peninsula Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is ready for public review\, and we want to hear from you. \nThe Middle Peninsula covers six rural coastal counties (Essex\, Gloucester\, King and Queen\, King William\, Mathews\, and Middlesex) and the towns of Tappahannock\, Urbanna\, and West Point. It’s a region known for more than 1\,000 miles of coastline\, rich natural resources\, and historic working waterfronts. It also faces real challenges: residents commuting out of the region for work\, slow job growth\, rising housing costs\, tidal flooding\, and an aging population. \nThe draft CEDS lays out a shared vision for a resilient\, modern\, and diversified regional economy.
